Buy-to-let policy
For the BTL remortgage transaction on a LTB, our standard BTL criteria and LTV limits apply.
We do not require simultaneous completion with the onwards residential purchase.
We will take account of the customer’s new residential expenditure, including their new residential mortgage payment or rental payment. It is acceptable for the customer to not be buying but we will still need to be provided with details of their onward expenditure position, for example their rental payment or costs living with family or friends. If this expenditure is likely to change (e.g. living with family for a period before buying) please let us know about the expected change to future expenditure so that we can consider it within our affordability assessment.
